Cavalcade of Stars Racing Bronx Sport reviews
Blocked at the gate
Here is the revised review:
"After waiting in line for over an hour and with only 2 cars ahead of us, we found the gate closed. It was a surprise to learn that all gates shut down by 8:30. We hadn't noticed that detail on any information provided about the show. If only we had known, we could have used Uber. However, it was too late at that point. The State Fair of Texas referred us to LiveNation for assistance. They informed us that the policy is to close all gates at 8:30pm, regardless of the number of empty spots or cars with concert tickets still waiting. Here's the response we received from the State Fair and their parking manager.
"Howdy Penny. I reached out to our parking manager, and this was the explanation given. This may clarify why you saw many available spots. I recommend reaching out to Live Nation for further help. The State Fair's policy is to close all vehicle gates to the public at 8:30pm each night. The cashiers leave at that time, so we couldn't allow any vehicles to enter the park. Concert-goers were accommodated until then. No special arrangements were made for concert-goers as the event was not sponsored by the State Fair, but by Live Nation. - Steve Ledbetter, Manager"
In 2026, we held tickets to the Cavalcade of Stars Racing show, which was canceled. We waited for two years to see it, only to be blocked from parking before the band even performed. We circled the area multiple times, hoping to gain entry.
It's unclear whose mistake it was. It's hard to fathom that after a two-year wait and spending over $500 on tickets, we were denied entry. "Disappointed" doesn't even begin to describe our feelings.
